Resumen
Hamelia veracruzana is described and illustrated as a new species of the genus Hamelia. This species grows in the region of Atoyac, central Veracruz, Mexico. This species shares similar traits with Hamelia xorullensis and H. calycosaof section Amphituba; however, it differs in the position, size and shape of leaves and stipules.
